Andy drops off a package from Amazon.co.uk. Mostly books about time, but also some CDs that were prohibitively priced as imports to Canada, which I pick up fairly cheaply. The best of the lot is called
The Clock of the Long Now, which chronicles the attempts to create (and maintain) a clock that will keep time for 10 000 years. The clock ticks once a year and the large hand advances every century. There is a cuckoo at each millennium. It is designed to foster long-term thinking. Seems fitting up here.
